Several members of the Pender team had the opportunity to participate in the 6th Annual Greater Vancouver Food Bank Charity Golf Tournament in Coquitlam, joining community partners and supporters to raise funds for an organization that plays such an important role across the Lower Mainland.
The event raised an impressive $46,000 in support of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. While our team posted a strong score of -14, it wasn't quite enough to secure a spot on the podium. The day offered much more than friendly competition, however, serving as a reminder of the impact that community partnerships and collective action can have.
One particularly meaningful moment came at the 7th tee box, where a Greater Vancouver Food Bank volunteer recognized Pender and spoke warmly about our longstanding support. They shared their appreciation for the contributions Pender has made over the years and expressed gratitude for the involvement of team members. It was a touching reminder that support for local organizations extends far beyond financial contributions and helps strengthen the communities in which we live and work.
The Greater Vancouver Food Bank provides essential support to thousands of individuals and families across the region, and events like this play an important role in helping ensure those services remain available to those who need them most.
We are grateful to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank for hosting another successful event and proud to support an organization making a meaningful difference in our community.
